“Pet peeve time: for the contingent out there who sneer at heroes like Superman and Wonder Woman and Captain America, those icons who still, at their core, represent selfless sacrifice for the greater good, and who justify their contempt by saying, oh, it’s so unrealistic, no one would ever be so noble… grow up. Seriously. Cynicism is not maturity, do not mistake the one for the other. If you truly cannot accept a story where someone does the right thing because it’s the right thing to do, that says far more about who you are than these characters.”

IF YOU LIKE TALES FROM THE BULLY PULPIT OR THE TICK: This book has jokes in it that I wrote.
IF YOU LIKE HECTOR PLASM: This book has a ghost in it that gets fought by a person who fights ghosts.
IF YOU LIKE INVINCIBLE AND PERIPHERAL INVINCIBLE PROPERTIES: This book has a lot of blood and people being violently dismembered.
What I am saying is that there is something in it for everyone.

Today is the birthday of comics journalist and documented best friend of Batman, Chris Sims. I wasn’t able to get a Black Mercy to ship on time, so instead I wrote him a song.

Mine eyes have dared to gaze upon the glory of Chris Sims!
He has tamed the comics Internet to cater to his whims;
He’s decking out the Batmobile with Twilight Sparkle rims;
His soul is marching on!

The Glory Boat is coming to ya!
Juicy Fruit is gonna move ya!
Chris Sims is marching on!
Batman, Archie, Punisher, Ric Flair and Pikachu;
The casts of Bring It On and Glee and that new Scooby-Doo;
