BURGEONING LADS OF SCIENCE

I'm Benito. I write comics; for example: Tales from the Bully Pulpit, The Tick New Series, Guarding the Globe, Hector Plasm, and EVEN MORE. I will talk about these AND MORE. FOR FREE, on your very own personal computing device.

thefutureghost asked: Are there any historical fiction or fictional history novels that take place in Rome that you would recommend?

An author named Steven Saylor has written a large number of books set in ancient Rome, many (most? all?) starring a Roman detective called Gordianus the Finder. They are pretty deece, for, like beach reading or whatev. They’re not Tolstoy or anything.

There are also a number of books by Colleen McCullough (perhaps best known for The Thorn Birds) that are set in ancient Rome that are supposed to be pretty good. I never read them, but my mom liked them? So I guess that’s a recommendation, kind of.

I don’t read a lot of historical fiction.

“This is Superman. He’s a lot like you. Crash-landed on Earth, didn’t know what he was doing… but he only uses his powers for good, never for evil. Remember that.”

whimsyandbrimstone asked: If you were to run away and live in a theme park, which would you choose, and why?

Holiday World, so I could do this every day:

Just got back from seeing Man of Steel. Thoughts on it later, maybe.
